Power Generation Technician - Apprentice

Key responsibilities for this San Leandro -based Power Generation Technician Apprentice :

  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field

  • Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner. Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs

  • Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation

  • Follows documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenance

  • Undertakes and completes training in line with skill and business requirements

  • Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation

  • Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications :

  • Technical school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Knowledge of Power Generation systems, including generator controls, service and maintenance, automatic transfer switches and other electrical related systems

  • Ability to learn/work on all makes and models of generators including, but not limited to, Cummins Power Generation products.

  • Must have good computer skills. Familiarization with Inpower and Insite software preferred.

  • Track record of excelling in customer satisfaction and communication.

  • Strong Safety Practices and Awareness.
