Tool Change Technician (Tool Set) 2nd Shift
Description
As part of a training or development program, learns and develops required skills in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance. Apprentice will be required to successfully complete and document specified classes and a minimum quantity of on the job training hours. Learns and understand the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
Performs supervised work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
Follows all process documentation and quality procedures.
Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
Performs quality inspections.
Delivery
In accordance with the program of study makes appropriate progress necessary to build basic skills and knowledge required to meet the job qualifications.
Completes all required on the job training hours.
Repairs and maintains equipment and performs other miscellaneous duties within their capabilities .
Assists with preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities.
Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
Work with peers and support staff to:
Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints
Solve problems and improve processes
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Teamwork
Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.
Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

We are looking for a talented TOOL CHANGE TECHNICIAN I to join our team specializing in Manufacturing Operations for our BUSINESS SEGMENT in Rocky Mount, North Carolina
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Work with engineers, maintenance and line technicians to troubleshoot tooling problems
Follow established tool change frequency and ensure that all tool changes are completed timely/accurately
Follow machine/tool safety and safety procedures at all times
Perform basic tooling and equipment troubleshooting
Set-up and deliver tool assemblies to an established schedule to meet production demands
Read and understand blueprints
Perform preventative maintenance on tool assemblies
Use calipers, micrometers, height gages and other basic gages to audit tools/tooling assemblies
Knowledgeable in machine and tool safety
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment effectively and efficiently
Ability to operate and understand readings from measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Ability to calculate fractions and decimals properly
Have a valid NC Drivers License

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
